Here’s a chance to invest in wind power in North Dakota.
M Power, LLC, a wind development company, has stock for sale. The year-old company currently has 105 members. It formed a year ago to develop wind farms in Griggs and/or Steele counties, one the windiest areas in North Dakota. The company doesn’t plan on building, owning and operating wind turbines, but will sell a developed site complete with easements, leases and power contracts to a utility. It may retain some ownership position in the sites.
M-Power has secured wind rights and power contracts for its first wind farm and is getting close signing a power agreement with a utility. M-Power needs another $650,000 to $690,000 to continue developing its projects over the next year. Shares are $45 each and the minimum investment is $4,500.
