Indiana Well-Represented At Louisville Show
Hoosiers exhibit livestock at big event.

The North American International Livestock Exposition was a big hit for Hoosiers this year. A large percentage of exhibitors in all species were from Indiana, and many Indiana exhibitors took home top honors in many classes across the board.

During the hog show, one of the latest additions to the big event, Eastern Hancock FFA brings more than a dozen kids and pigs they raise in their school barn just for the show. Scott Jacobs, the adviser, says it's a great opportunity for kids who wouldn't otherwise get this experience to participate in showman ship and in the ring.

The kids did great, he notes. How did the animals do? "Well, we thought we had a good set of pigs, but we only had one place in the top 10 of its class," he deadpans. Then he quips, "Of course, that's the first time we ever had any pig place in the top ten!"

Through pictures, here's a glimpse of what you could see at the show. You may recognize a neighbor's sign, maybe a neighbor's cattle or sheep, or maybe someone you know.
