Farm and ranch welders, hobbyists and automotive fabricators are the targets Hobart has in mind for its new Hanlder 210, an all-in-one MIG welder capable of welding 3/8-inch steel and ¼-inch aluminum.

With seven voltage taps available with a front-mounted click selector, the Handler 210 offers precise power output for materials as light as 24 ga steel, all the way up to 3/8-inch mild steel and 210 amps. The 210 operates on 230 VAC and delivers full out put from a 35-amp breaker.

Hobart's new Handler 210 is a ready-out-of-the-box MIG welder capable of light duty sheet metal work to

3/8-inch mild steel fabrication. With seven voltage selections, operators can tailor output to their projects, and with an optional spool gun, they can weld up to ¼-inc aluminum.

Aluminum fabrication and repair comes easily with this 77-pound package by adding the optional DP-3035 Spool Gun ($498 list price). The gun easily replaces the standard MIG gun in minutes and with the flip of an inside switch and the use of 100% Argon, you're ready to weld aluminum. Hobart officials say the 210 is the only welder in its class to have enough power to use the hotter spray transfer mig process for aluminum.

The 210 comes ready to weld out of the box, with or without shielding gas. It comes with a built-in gas valve and comes with a dual stage regulator and gas hose. Suggested retail on the 210 is $1,052, but the price may vary from dealer to dealer.
