High-speed Coulter Applicator to Market

High-speed Coulter Applicator to Market

AgSynergy launches Genesis SABR system for fall.

The company who created the low-disturbance, high speed system for applying fertilizer expands its line with the Genesis SABR. The single-disk opener is for placement of anhydrous ammonia, but can also dual place liquid or dry fertilizer.

The product has the same features as the company’s Genesis TRX which is a tracked row unit with low disturbance. The Genesis SABR doesn’t have tracks and uses the Saber Tooth Insert coulter blade from Prescription Tillage Technology. The system also works in a range of conditions and tillage practices. The unit requires no daily maintenance and has a low operating cost, according to AgSynergy.

AgSynergy launches Genesis SABR system for fall.

The new row unit has the ability to leave a small mound with sonme residue spread back over the top versus leaving an inverted trench. This reduces erosion risk and provides a more uniform seedbed. The unit works well in no-till but also performs in tilled conditions.

The similarities between the Genesis SABR™ and Genesis TRX® include the unique ability to provide very consistent depth control from row to row, even in terrain with aggressive elevation changes.  This is accomplished through AgSynergy’s patent pending “walking beam” design.  The design also includes 20” of vertical independent working travel in each row, active hydraulic down pressure and individual row unit hydraulic cylinders.   The Genesis SABR™ and Genesis TRX® also share the 5 degrees of side-to-side pivot for following contours and use a straight coulter blade that minimizes side wall compaction.

Genesis SABR unites are available for the 2014 fall NH3 application season and can be mounted on all of AgSynergy’s 30-inch row spaced applicator models. The Genesis SABR can also be purchased individually at the list price of $2,099 per row. For more information call 785-336-6333 or visit
