Growth Energy, the entity formed to speak up for ethanol, is launching a television advertising campaign aimed at educating the public, especially those living on the East and West coasts, of the value of what it calls "America's Fuel."
The $2.5-million campaign will run on four national cable networks: Fox News, CNN, HLN and MSNBC.
The message is presented in short spots, aired back to back that present ethanol as sensible, independent, clean, economic, renewable and peace-promoting.
The timing of the campaign is designed to coincide with the renewal of energy policy debate in Washington, D.C.
Growth Energy chief executive Gen. Wesley Clark, announced the campaign from the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Monday morning. In Kansas, members of the media were invited to a Monday morning preview of the ad spots.
