Grains Rally as News Continues to Flow

Positive news from ethanol, exports and world supply have the markets in the rally mode. (Audio)

Demand driven rallies have returned to corn and soybeans with strong ethanol numbers and another soybean sale leading the market. South Korea did pull back both corn and wheat tenders, but they may have wished they hadn't if the end use is in the near future. Harvest weather should be good through the weekend as corn and soybean farmers are trying to get crops in the bin before Thanksgiving.

Market Analyst Paul Burgener joined the Farm Futures team in November 2012 and brings a solid ag economics background. A former University of Nebraska Extension Ag Economist with training from the University of Wyoming, Burgener brings extensive experience to his new role. Most recently, he was involved in agricultural finance, and will offer that perspective through his comments and writing.
