After a tough week for corn and soybeans futures face more friction this week, with corn unable to get above Friday’s close overnight. Soybeans and wheat bounced around in quiet, two-sided trade but also lacked any spark. Rains are helping hard red winter wheat this morning, while this afternoon’s Crop Progress report could show farmers made gains getting corn and spring wheat planted last week.
