Agricultural producers in the Badger State can learn more about funding programs being offered to them by USDA and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture by attending one of several informational sessions around the state. The forums will allow farmers the opportunity to hear first-hand about how federal and state programs help fund value-added agricultural enterprises, farmer research, and demonstration projects in Wisconsin.
Sessions will present information on the Value-Added Producer Grant Program, Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program, DATCP's Agricultural Development and Diversification Grant Program, and Farm Service Agency loans.
The meetings will be held at the following locations:
- Jan. 11: Portage County Annex Building - Stevens Point from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.
- Jan. 17: Kickapoo Valley Reserve Visitor Center - La Farge from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Jan. 18: Calumet County Courthouse - Chilton from 1 to 3:15 p.m.
Attendance is free at each of the sessions. The program is sponsored by Glacierland RC&D and USDA SARE, North Central Region.
