ESCO Offers Wheel Heat Warning Label

ESCO Offers Wheel Heat Warning Label

Temperature sensitive labels monitor heat build-up of wheel bearing areas on trucks and trailers.

The new Hot Wheel is no toy car, but an important tool in keeping an eye on wheel bearing conditions and temperatures.

Produced by ESCO, Hot Wheel is an adhesive-backed label that features a white arrow, until it's exposed to temperatures higher than 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, it turns orange permanently to alert drivers and operators that the wheel in question has been hot -- and needs attention. Once the problem has been corrected, a new Hot Wheel must be installed.

For more information about Hot Wheel, call (800) 352-1117.
