CVT Transmission Option Comes to Case IH Farmall B Series Tractors

CVT Transmission Option Comes to Case IH Farmall B Series Tractors

New option eliminates gear shifting and maximizes fuel economy.

Three models of Case IH Farmall compact tractors now have continuously variable transmission as an option to help eliminate time-consuming gear shifting, and to improve fuel economy.

The CVT automatically selects the best gear ratio for whatever load and speed requirement is on demand from the throttle. CVT also provides more torque than a hydrostatic transmission at low speeds because hydrostats depend upon speed for higher torque. Always being in the "right" gear helps maintain low fuel consumption whether transporting or hauling and loading.

Case IH Farmall compact tractors now offer a continuously variable transmission option for the new 40B CVT, 45B CVT and 50B CVT Class 3 cab tractors.

The technology is already at work on many higher horsepower tractors, and the new option for the 40B CVT, 45B CVT and 50B CVT Farmalls takes the innovation into smaller "chore tractor" territory.

The Farmalls are powered with Tier 3-compliant diesel engines of 40- 45- and 50 horsepower ratings, respectively, and are designed for hauling, mowing, loading, and towing.
