The Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center is hosting a Christmas open house on Saturday, Dec. 1, and Saturday, Dec. 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission to the center's exhibit hall will be waived both Saturdays for attendees bringing a non-perishable food item for the Neighbor for Neighbor food pantry in Tomah.
Housed in a historic cranberry warehouse, the Cranberry Discovery Center's exhibit hall details the history of cranberry production in Wisconsin using hands-on exhibits, storyboards, video and audio recordings, and displays of cranberry related equipment.
There will also be cranberry wine tasting and sampling of various Wisconsin-made cranberry food products. The center also has an old-fashioned ice cream parlor and in-house bakery.
The Wisconsin Cranberry Discovery Center is located at 204 Main Street in downtown Warrens. For more information about the non-profit center, visit their Web site at www.discovercranberries.com or call (608) 378-4878.
