The Brown County committee hosting the 2008 Wisconsin Farm Technology Days is seeking area crafters to display their wares at a three-day craft show that will be part of this year's event.
The state's largest outdoor farm show, Wisconsin Farm Technology Days will be held July 15-17, 2008, at Country Aire Farms, just south of Greenleaf. More than 70,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which features over 600 commercial exhibitors in a 60-acre tent city and 1,000 local volunteers.
"We're looking for crafters who make handmade items to display them as part of our educational program, not to sell them," according to Alice Daul, De Pere. She says the first step is for crafters to send pictures of their crafts to the Craft Committee. "They'll be juried for their quality and uniqueness, and the top ones will be invited to participate in the show." The craft show will take place in large tents on the show grounds, adds Daul.
Interested crafters may call Daul for further information and application deadlines at 920-336-2774 or contact her via mail at 4398 Highway PP, De Pere WI 54115.
Businesses or individuals who would like to participate in Wisconsin Farm Technology Days may contact Mark Hagedorn, the show's Executive Secretary and Brown County's UW-Extension Agricultural Agent, at 920-391-4612, or visit www.wifarmtechnologydays.com and click "Brown County.".
