'Cow Experts' Needed for Wisconsin State Fair House of Moo

Youth and adult volunteers sought to promote the dairy industry.

The Wisconsin State Fair House of Moo is looking for knowledgeable and enthusiastic youth and adult volunteers to assist in promoting Wisconsin's $20.6 billion dairy industry at the 2009 Wisconsin State Fair. Sponsored by the Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Promotion Board, the House of Moo is an interactive, educational exhibit that provides fairgoers of all ages the opportunity to learn about the dairy industry through hands-on activities. The exhibit, which reaches nearly 200,000 fairgoers annually, is a fun-filled environment that allows visitors to explore and discover the importance of Wisconsin's leading agriculture and dairy industries.

Youth and adults, with dairy backgrounds and a passion for promotion, are encouraged to apply to become a 'Cow Expert' volunteer during the 2009 Wisconsin State Fair, August 6-16. 'Cow Experts' will be selected based on their dairy knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to communicate with others.

Applications are available online at www.wistatefair.com. Click on the Fair Information link on the top-left corner of the page, then the Dairy Promotion link. The application deadline is Friday, June 19.
