I & J Manufacturing helps out with no-till fields.

I & J Manufacturing's new Cover Crop Roller can take even more field operations out of a no-till management scheme by rolling cover crops close to the ground to allow planting in one pass.

I&J's Cover Crop Roller uses a single cylinder with two bearings (fewer than stalk choppers), and a chevron-pattern to prevent kicking soil up and around a planting furrow. The new machine has been tested at 90% crop knockdown, even in covers such as hairy vetch and rye, which are known to cause problems to regular stalk choppers.

I & J's new Cover Crop Roller holds cover crops in place as a thick mulch in front of a single-pass

planter. The new machine is designed to reduce no-till field trips even further.

The Cover Crop Roller is available in three, four and six-row widths and, on order, up to 40 feet. The roller fits standard Category I or II three-point hitches.
