The "Apps for Agriculture" educational breakout session planned for 3 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, during Corn/Soy Expo targets farmers wanting to learn about computer applications. Lead by Tim Clark, Dairyland Seed district sales manager and Danielle Hammer, Alltech territory marketing coordinator, the session will be useful whether you already have a mobile device, are considering one and need more information on how to use them, or want to share your favorite farm applications.

Wisconsin Corn/Soy Expo kicks off Thursday, Jan. 31, with an Early Riser Marketing Session featuring Andy Shissler, Roach Ag Marketing at 8 a.m., and continues with a general session featuring Orion Samuelson. Thursday afternoon at Corn/Soy Expo a variety of educational sessions present the latest crop and farm management research as well as farm succession planning, grain storage management tips and communications information.
Friday morning at Corn/Soy Expo starts at 8 a.m., with a look farm programs and insurance with UW-Extension Ag Economist Paul Mitchell and a general session featuring Barry Flinchbaugh and General Wesley Clark. During lunch Friday, UW Band Director Mike Leckrone will energize and inspire the crowd. After lunch, a special two-hour agronomic session will focus on preparing for the 2013 crop year and features Agricultural Meteorologist Elwynn Taylor, soybean specialist Shawn Conley and corn specialist Joe Lauer.
