Company Launches Simpler NH3 Applicator

Company Launches Simpler NH3 Applicator

Application innovator AgSynergy rolls out models with leaner design to meet customer needs.

Precision application of fertilizer is a growing business as farmers work to boost their productivity while maintaining costs. AgSynergy is innovating this part of agriculture with its line of NH3 applicators, and now it's adding machines to the line that simplify the process.

The company has launched the new 300 Series Fertilizer Applicators. The New TR330 and TR340 offer a front floating hitch, 30-inch row spacing for the TR330 and 40-inch spacing for the TR340. They have active hydraulic down pressure to the wings and row unites and 40 degrees of wing flex.

In a media announcement for the new line, Joe Reitz, AgSynergy, general manager, comments on why the company is simplifying the line.

Application innovator AgSynergy rolls out models with leaner design to meet customer needs.

"Our current lineup of applicators offers outstanding features and capabilities while being very modular," he says. The company's TR30/40 and SM30/40 models can be converted to 20-in. or 30-in. row spacing and from trailing to semi-mounted.

This modular ability gives dealers and producers plenty of flexibility to meet different application needs, but it does impact cost and complexity.

Reitz says the firm had a high demand for machines that were built on 30-in. centers, and the 300 series meets that need. They are set up only for 30-in or 40-in spacing without the ability to convert to a semi-mounted toolbar. That makes the frame simpler, and less expensive.

When the AgSynergy machine moves through the field, observers often wonder if it even did the job, it provides a precise application of NH3 in a very narrow slit in the soil, creating little soil disturbance.
