China, Taiwan Buy 2014-15 Soybeans

USDA reports Chinese export sale of 110,000 metric tons of soybeans

Private exporters reported China bought 110,000 metric ton of U.S. soybeans and Taiwan bought 102,000 metric tons, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said on Monday.

The 2014/2015 marketing year for soybeans begins Sept. 1.

Last week's USDA weekly export report showed China as the largest buyer 2014/2015 soybeans with nearly 9.1 million metric tons while Taiwan had bought 62,700.

Exporters are required to report to USDA any export sales activity of 100,000 tons or more of one commodity, made in one day or quantities totaling 200,000 tons or more in any reporting period by the next business day following the sale.
