Biosecurity Webinar Offered
Participants can learn how to prevent spread of equine diseases.

Biosecurity on the horse farm will be the topic of a webinar hosted by University of Wisconsin and University of Illinois Extension Systems on Thursday, Dec. 2.

Participants can learn about proper biosecurity procedures to help prevent the spread of equine diseases as well as other related health issues on the horse farm. Dr. Betsy Greene, Extension Equine Specialist with the University of Vermont will lead the discussion addressing how diseases are spread and effective farm management practices.

In order to participate, interested individuals must have phone, email, computer and internet access. Speaker phones are recommended but not required. 

The cost to participate is $10, which includes a biosecurity CD developed by Dr. Betsy Green. Call-in and webinar connection information and any reference materials will be emailed to participants after the registration has been received. Registration deadline is Nov. 30.
