Several beef production meetings are scheduled in various places around South Dakota in the coming weeks.
On Jan. 22 there will be a meeting in Redfield on winter herd health, management of genetic defects and bull selection.
The meeting will be held from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Leo's Good Food restaurant, Redfield.

Two heifer development workshops set for Jan. 20 in Mound City at 1:30 pm and Ipswich at 6:30 pm.
Both programs are designed to aid producers in making smart, science-based decisions about their replacement heifers. Topics include low cost development, herd health, reproduction, and considerations for deciding on whether to buy or raise replacement heifers.
The meetings are free. To pre-register or for more information, call the McPherson County Extension office at 605-439-3331. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
