The Agricultural Safety and Health Council of America announced this month it is offering grants up to $10,000 to foster new champions of agricultural safety and health by providing financial support to promote evidence-based safety/health strategies addressing farmers, ranchers and agricultural workers.
The ASHCA is a national coalition of agribusinesses, producer organizations and safety professionals. This is the second round of safety grants; the first safety grants were offered in June. The 10 June grants addressed onsite safety training, development of a mobile app, personal protective equipment, safe play zones for farmworker children and other topics.

Application deadline for the latest round of grants is Jan. 7, 2015. Information regarding eligibility, priorities, application instructions and frequently asked questions is available online at the ASHCA website.
Individuals, organizations and businesses can support ASHCA's Safety Grants program with financial contributions and/or "in-kind" support.
