The Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program, funded by Monsanto and the National Association of Farm Broadcasting, will offer scholarships to high school seniors across the country.
The program will award one hundred $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors interested in pursuing a career in agriculture who clearly demonstrate excellence in the areas of academics, leadership and real-world agricultural experience.
Applicants should come from a farm family, plan to enroll as full-time students in an agriculture-related academic major in an accredited school, and be committed to pursuing a career in agriculture. Evaluations will also be based on academic records, extracurricular and leadership activities, and essays.
To find out more, students can ask their agricultural teacher, local NAFB affiliated radio station or Monsanto retailer, or visit www.monsanto.com or www.nafb.com.
The application deadline is Feb. 15, 2007.
