Stoneville hires marketing manager

In his new role, Finlay is responsible for all marketing aspects of Stoneville cotton varieties in the United States. Finlay's extensive marketing and sales experience in the seed business helps strengthen Stoneville's ability to compete and grow its cotton planting seed business, according to Rogers.

"We look forward to Finlay bringing his fresh perspective and experience to bear on Stoneville's business,” Rogers says. “He has held numerous marketing management positions during his 17 years in the seed business."

Finlay has worked in the seed business promoting corn, soybeans, sunflowers, alfalfa and grain sorghum. He previously was sunflower seeds marketing manager with PAG Seeds, marketing manager for the Genesis Group, and the oilseeds product manager for Mycogen. Additionally, he has held sales positions ranging from territory sales manager to vice president of sales.

"With all of the new products positioned for introduction in 2004 and beyond, containing the latest technologies, we will be in a great position to help cotton producers maximize their return on investment,” Finlay says. “This is an exciting time in the history of Stoneville Pedigreed Seed Co., and I am proud to be a part of it.”

Finlay earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Northern State University. He and his wife, Cindy, have two children.
