Good weed control starts with a sprayer that lets you cover acres in a timely manner and apply herbicides effectively. The companies that make everything from complete sprayers to tiny valves and nozzles that help those sprayers do their jobs continue to refine their offerings, bringing out products that are more durable, more tech-savvy and less prone to downtime in the field. That’s why this large lineup of new products gleaned from recent farm shows deserves a careful look.

If you’re thinking it is time to upgrade to a different sprayer, several companies offer new models for you to consider. Equipment Technologies introduces a new model to the Apache lineup. It carries more total spray volume than the model with the smallest tank, yet it allows you to get as many bells and whistles as you want on a sprayer while holding down the price tag compared to models with bigger spray tanks.

John Deere has two new models for you to consider. Hagie, now part of the John Deere family, included changes in its 2020 offerings to meet customer needs. These are not all the new sprayers Farm Progress editors found as they searched for new products. Check out the photo gallery to see the rest.

While you’re checking out the gallery, you will find that other companies have introduced new valves, pump parts or nozzles that should make handling and spraying chemicals just a tad easier.

These components, sometimes almost hidden from view deep within the plumbing of the sprayer, can play a big role in determining whether your spray application is successful. They’re also important in minimizing potential problems with spray contamination or mixing issues. Be sure to check out each new product.
