Corn+Soybean Digest

A Special Invitation To Soybean Digest Readers

In August, you have an opportunity to be part of an event that soybean farmers will be talking about for years to come. Global Soy Forum '99 - the first worldwide assembly of the soybean industry - will convene in Chicago August 4-7. We hope you'll be joining us and other growers from around the world at this historic meeting.

The culmination of three years of planning, this is truly the event of the century for our industry. We're expecting 1,000+ participants, representing more than 45 countries and every segment of the soybean value chain, from farmers to scientists to consumers. Working together, we'll have many opportunities to exchange ideas, create new partnerships and enrich our understanding of each other's roles in the international marketing of our crop.

You'll find that the scope of our program is as diverse as our group. No matter what your interests - from global finance to planting equipment to new soy foods - the program has something for you. Included is a full program of grower-oriented sessions (at right) on the latest production techniques and management practices.

It's all happening in the heart of Chicago, one of the world's most popular vacation destinations, and we're planning to showcase the city's greatest attractions in special excursions for participants and spouses. Our conference organizers will also be available to help you plan your own sightseeing trips to the lakefront attractions, sporting events, museums, cultural attractions, shopping areas and restaurants.

Whatever you choose to experience at Global Soy Forum, we know you'll leave with new knowledge, new friends and a broader understanding of the soybean industry's potential in the 21st century. We look forward to meeting and working with you in Chicago this August.
