Resistant weeds cost Tennessee growers $200 million

Tennessee growers had to spend an additional $200 million last year in attempts to control glyphosate-resistant pigweed and marestail, compared to what they would have spent when Roundup provided control of those weeds, says Dr. Larry Steckel, University of Tennessee associate professor and row crop weed specialist.
