Bollworms 'won’t quit' in Mississippi soybeans, grain sorghum

Mississippi crops experience abundance of pests.

A report by Mississippi Extension entomologist Angus Catchot points to continuing problems with pests in state crops.

“We are going on week six of a very high and sustained flight of bollworms in cotton, soybeans, and grain sorghum,” writes Catchot. “The same control problems with pyrethroids we have had in soybeans have spilled over to grain sorghum and some cotton fields.”
