Soybean Summit scheduled for Jan. 11

LEARN: Hear details on advanced soybean production techniques from industry experts and share ideas with fellow farmers at the Soybean Summit.

The Illinois Soybean Association is holding a one-day Soybean Summit from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 11 in Springfield, Ill.

Funded in part by the ISA checkoff program, this one-day event will provide a lineup of expert speakers sharing the latest tools and technology, along with action recommendations to boost your yields and improve your bottom line. Continuing education units will be offered for each session for certified crop advisers.

Here are some of the presentations lined up for the summit.

• “Challenges and Viable Solutions in Soybean Production”
• “Habits of Financially Resilient Farmers”
• “How to Optimize Yield by Resource Allocation”
• “Selecting Management Strategies for Producing High Yields”
• “Insights From the Illinois Yield Challenge Results”

Two keynote sessions will feature 2017 ISA Master Adviser Kris Ehler speaking on the philosophies needed to raise 100-bushel soybeans and Dale Durchholz, senior market analyst for AgriVisor, presenting “Soybeans — The Hits Just Keep on Coming!”

Attending the Soybean Summit is free and includes complimentary breakfast, lunch and coffee throughout the day. Attendance provides the opportunity to hear details on advanced production techniques from industry experts, and to share ideas with fellow farmers. You can also gather information on the latest products and services from sponsors and exhibitors. 

The summit will finish with a farmer roundtable focused on “Challenges and Viable Solutions in Soybean Production,” including an audience question-and-answer session.
