The next era of performance and control is one step closer to reality. MS Technologies and Bayer have announced a significant milestone for the Balance GT Soybean Performance System. China announced it has granted import approval to Balance GT soybeans, moving the new soybean system one step closer toward commercialization.

The Balance GT Soybean Performance System will combine industry-leading genetics with a double herbicide-tolerant trait that will confer tolerance to glyphosate and isoxaflutole, the active ingredient in the new Balance Bean herbicide. The Balance GT Soybean Performance System will benefit soybean growers by providing high-yielding genetics and protection against a variety of broadleaf weeds and grasses.

While this approval means that the Balance GT trait has received all necessary export approvals, the Balance GT Soybean Performance System will not be commercially available until Balance Bean herbicide receives all of the required regulatory approvals.

This approval is welcome news for growers, dealers and industry experts seeking a new mode of action for soybeans. Once Balance Bean herbicide receives all required regulatory approvals, Balance GT will be available from a number of seed companies throughout North America, bringing growers high-yielding genetics and long-lasting weed control.
