A new line of “premium” soybeans called NK-1 Class Soybeans from Syngenta is available for 2010. The company says these varieties are protected from diseases and emerging challenges like sudden death syndrome and sclerotinia white mold. Syngenta reports that yields from NK-1 Class were up to 6 bu./acre greater than those from competitive brands three out of four times in company field trials.

“NK-1 Class Soybeans are developed and tested with the Syngenta accelerated development and advancement process that brings stronger, better-performing products to growers faster than traditional breeding methods,” says Gene Kassmeyer, head of Syngenta Seeds soybean line.
