Southeast Vegetable Expo set for Dec. 2-4

The Southeast Vegetable and Fruit Expo will be at a new location this year.

The 18th annual Expo will be held Dec. 2-4 at the Greenville Convention Center in Greenville, N.C.

The conference will consist of concurrent sessions. Participants will be free to move around to sessions that interest them the most. The program committees have worked hard to design a program that is timely and topical, to meet the needs of the people who attend.

Topics include tomatoes, sweet potatoes, food safety, melons, greenhouses, peppers, crucifers, organics and specialty crops.

An extensive trade show will be held throughout the two-day Expo.

The Southeast Vegetable and Fruit Expo is sponsored by the North Carolina Vegetable Growers Association in cooperation with Clemson University, North Carolina A&T State University, North Carolina Agricultural Research Service, North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service, North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, North Carolina Division of Energy, North Carolina Farm Bureau, North Carolina Pickle Producers Association, North Carolina State University and the North Carolina Sweet Potato Commission.

For more information or to register, contact Bonnie Holloman or Cathy Price at the North Carolina Vegetable Growers' Association at 919-334-0099 or email or visit the Association's Web site at
