Forage sorghum silage trials aim to resolve production questions

When managed properly, forage sorghum silage is comprable to corn silage.

Farm Press met with Agronomist Jourdan Bell, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, in the forage sorghum silage field trial near Bushland to discuss the state of the 2020 crop following unseasonably cool temperatures, along with research results concering sugarcane aphid infestations and silage quality. She also discussed how forage sorghum is helping to fill the silage gap in their region.
