Double cropping: Will atrazine control volunteer wheat in sorghum?

Agronomist Brent Bean discusses volunteer wheat treatment for producers double-cropping wheat to sorghum.

Wheat has been harvested and many producers will double crop to sorghum. In the upcoming weeks, volunteer wheat may become an issue. Sorghum Checkoff Agronomist Brent Bean answers a producer-question about whether atrazine will control volunteer wheat. 

In an interview with Farm Press, Bean discusses treatment and application rates and other weed management considerations. He also discusses variety selection for planting late-sorghum and the status of the sugarcane aphid.
