Seven Texas-approved CE hours available online

Southwest Farm Press has just received accreditation from the Texas Department of Agriculture for its fourth free online CE course accessible from the publication’s website.

“The ABCs of MRLs” is the latest course to win accreditation.

Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) — pesticide use tolerances set by countries and even private buyers for imported food products — are an issue that is of increasing importance and complexity among the 150 partner countries that buy U.S. food products.

Southwest Farm Press/Penton Ag Media has developed and launched this course for accredited for licensed agricultural applicators and producers. It details the major issues surrounding MRLs and how to access information about MRLs worldwide.

It is sponsored online by DuPont Crop Protection, a major supporter of the Farm Press/Penton Ag Media online CEU program. It is the fourth DuPont-sponsored course.

It is available from the pentonag.com or southwestfarmpress.com websites.

“The ABCs of MRLs” is accredited by TDA for 1 hour of laws and regulations.

Other TDA-accredited courses also available are:

Weed Resistance Management for Cotton: 1 hour General

Managing Spray Drift: 1 hour Drift Management; half hour Laws and Regs

Vegetable Pest Management: 1 hour General; half-hour IPM and half hour Laws and Regs

The weed resistant management and spray drift management course also are accredited in New Mexico.

There are four additional courses accredited in New Mexico.

A licensed applicator can earn a total of seven hours on line by successfully completing the seven Farm Press/Penton Media courses accredited in New Mexico.

OK:

Oklahoma’s state department of agriculture has approved The ABCs of MRLs for two units of credit for licensed applicators there.

Six additional hours are accredited for six additional courses, also available on the Farm Press/Penton websites.

All courses are available 24/7.
