Pioneer Hi-Bred considers farm seed selling a 12-month cycle

Selling seed to farmers has changed over the past few decades, according to Bill Belzer, Pioneer Hi-Bred senior marketing manager, North America corn. Today, the seed-selling cycle takes 12 months. Pioneer helps a grower select seed products and monitor the products in the field. Then it assists in evaluating the products' performance and helps the customer select seed for the next crop year.
