A new corn rootworm trait called Agrisure Duracade from Syngenta holds promise for controlling the destructive insect. The new trait expresses a unique protein (eCry3.1Ab) to control corn rootworms. The Agrisure Duracade trait should be available for market later this year following required regulatory approvals. It will be launched in two 5% refuge-in-a-bag products.
