“To grow our export potential, the U.S. must produce the quality of rice that international buyers need to fulfill their customers’ expectations,” said Dr. Tim Walker, Horizon Ag general manager. BASF

To celebrate rice growers who achieve both high yields and good quality, BASF and Horizon Ag have created the ClearPro Rice Challenge.

“BASF and Horizon Ag are committed to helping rice growers achieve success in their fields through the latest high-performing varieties, agronomic insights and tools that deliver reliable results year after year,” said Jody Wynia, U.S. Licensing Lead, BASF Agricultural Solutions. “The new ClearPro Rice Challenge is our chance to celebrate these growers and their success.”

Producers must grow at least 20 acres of a single Clearfield or Provisia rice variety and turn in their mill sheet with the enrollment form. If a grower makes it into the top 10% of scores in the state, they will qualify for the club. If they have the best score for either herbicide program in the state, they will become a Rice Challenge Champion.
