The LSU Rice Research Station was lauded as a world class rice research facility during the Station’s Field Day on June 30. The station has recorded a number of  technological breakthroughs including development of new rice varieties that have revolutionized rice production in the U.S. Part of the reason for its success is the rice checkoff funding provided by Louisiana rice producers, which Resident Director Steve Linscombe acknowledged during this interview at the field day.
