Arkansas rice disease update

Arkansas rice disease update

Sheath blight Stem rot False smut. Blast on CL 261

Sheath blight has increased in severity in some Arkansas rice, especially the northeast section of the state where humidity and some rainfall have made conditions more favorable for disease development.

Stem rot has still been a no-show, although conditions favor its development.

Concern is increasing about the smuts, especially false smut.

Blast on CL 261 is a concern in some Arkansas counties.

For more on where the problems are developing and treatment steps to take read the complete Arkansas rice disease update for July 19.
