Delta Rice Promotions, Inc., will participate in National Rice Month (September) by hosting the 27th annual Rice Tasting Luncheon on Sept. 15.

This year’s Rice Tasting Luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. at Walter Sillers Coliseum on the Delta State University campus in Cleveland, Miss.

It will feature over 300 rice dishes. Around 1,000 people from various states and other countries attend this event.

The rice dishes are prepared by local rice-growing families and Delta restaurants. Most recipes served at the luncheon can be found in the rice cookbook Between the Levees, which will be on sale at the luncheon for $10.

Delta Rice Promotions, Inc., is a group of farmers, agri-businesseses, farm organizations and government agencies, whose sole purpose is to promote Mississippi rice.
