The 2010 Wheat Certified Seed Dealer Buyer’s Guide is now available online and offers a wealth of information for growers.

The publication was developed under the cooperation of the University of California and the California Wheat Commission (CWC).

The guide covers certified wheat seed characteristics for fall-sown spring wheat, durum wheat, fall-sown winter wheat, and spring-sown spring wheat.

The data includes the originator, release date, class, primary use, growing area, plant height, straw strength, maturity, disease reactions, the 2010 average grain yield and test weight, and the 2009 average grain yield.

The guide includes the names of 38 California wheat certified seed dealers, the locations, and phone numbers in California and Arizona.
