The panel makes recommendations on matters pertaining to the beekeeping industry

The California Department of Food and Agriculture’s (CDFA) Plant Health and Pest Prevention Services Division is announcing three upcoming vacancies on the California State Apiary Board. This advisory board makes recommendations to the CDFA secretary on all matters pertaining to the beekeeping industry.

The term of office for candidates appointed to these board positions will be four years commencing April 1, 2020. Apiary Board members receive no compensation, but are entitled to reimbursement of necessary traveling expenses in accordance with Department of Personnel Administration rules. Members are considered public officials and must be willing to comply with necessary disclosure requirements.

Individuals interested in being considered for appointment to the Apiary Board should send a brief resume by March 1, 2020 to:
