Former California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Bill Lyons was the host for this year's Almond Environmental Stewardship Tour. Lyons is the chief executive officer of Mapes Ranch, a long-time cattle ranch west of Modesto that over the years has added almonds to the farm's portfolio.
