PRECISION FARMING SYSTEM
ParaDyme is the new totally integrated precision farming system from AutoFarm. The product line offers a full suite of precision farming tools: planter control, application control, yield monitoring, data logging and mapping, GPS steering, factory-installed wireless communications, autocalibration and remote real-time service and diagnostics.
Components of the system include the roof module with a choice of three in-cab controllers: AutoFarm Edge, Integra or Viper Pro. Eliminating the need for a vehicle wheel-angle sensor to achieve RTK accuracy, the roof module steers tractors, sprayers, spreaders or combines hands-free with Logic7D technology.
GPS steering is supported via WAAS, EGNOS, OmniStar, HP/XP, RTK and others. It's also GLONASS ready. Install kits are available for over 370 specific farm vehicle models.

BATTERY-POWERED MIG WELDER
Hobart Welding Products introduces the Trek 180, a self-contained, battery-powered MIG welder. Weighing 52 lbs. with an impact-resistant plastic case, it delivers heavy-duty weld power to fabricate or repair 24-gauge to ¼-in. mild steel in a single pass.
Operable while plugged in or completely cordless, the Trek can be charged inside a vehicle with an automotive power inverter. Fully charged, the unit delivers approximately 100 in. of continuous weld bead using 0.030-in.-diameter flux-cored wire on ⅛-in. mild steel.
The Trek offers positive arc starts without popping and minimal spatter while welding, as well as a built-in wire feeder with quick-release tension lever.
MSRP for the Trek 180 is $1,400. It's available at farm/ranch and hardware/tool retailers in the U.S. and Canada.

AUTO-STEER
Available for older tractors that need auto-steer is the QuickSteer motor from Leica Geosystems. The motor can be added to a wide range of agricultural vehicles that don't have factory-installed steering kits.
Mounted on the steering column, the QuickSteer motor turns the steering wheel via a friction contact wheel. It's used in conjunction with the mojoGLIDE console for 6-8-in. accuracy, or the mojoRTK auto-steer system for increased accuracy and repeatability.
QuickSteer motors feature integrated CAN-Bus interface to reduce cab clutter. The mojo console provides nine-axis terrain compensation to improve accuracy when driving across sloping terrain. The QuickSteer motor can also be moved between vehicles.
The $3,200 price tag includes the QuickSteer motor, universal mounting bracket, CAN cable, power cable and a replacement contact wheel.
