John Deere introduces the next generation of Parallel Tracking. This system can be used on any machine with a 12-volt power source.

The three common components include a StarFire iTC receiver, GreenStar display and mobile processor. Parallel Tracking guides operators through the field, and while they steer the tractor, the display keeps them on a straight or curved path.

Parallel Tracking is built around the scalable StarFire iTC receiver. A customer who purchases Parallel Tracking will be able to use the same components and easily upgrade to AutoTrac (as long as they own an AutoTrac capable vehicle) that would allow automatic steering via satellite.

Hagie introduces the new DTS series sprayers. DTS series sprayers feature dual independent solution tanks that allow the operator to fill with two different solutions before heading to the field.

The dual tanks are saddled between the front and rear tires on both sides of the sprayer, giving it a lower center of gravity for better stability.

A mid-mount 205 hp Cummins QBS turbo-charged engine powers a three-speed hydrostatic drive, producing a 28-mph road speed. The 152 hp Cummins diesel engine on the DTS8 drives a switch on-the-go 4WD system.

A variable hydraulic tread-adjust system allows the sprayer to be set up for a variety of crops and row widths ranging from 120 to 144 in. on the DTS and 108 to 120 in. on the DTS-8. A tight 19.5-in. turning radius allows operators to work in smaller, tighter fields.

Miller Electric Mfg. Co. introduces the newly enhanced Blue Star 145 and Blue Star 185 series of portable engine-driven gas generator welders.

The Blue Star DX models feature Auto Idle, which idles when not under load. It also features a strong Accu-rated — not inflated — useable peak power of 4,500 watts for the Blue Star 145 and 6,000 watts for the Blue Star 185.

Case IH has incorporated several improvements into its new Case IH EZ-Guide Plus lightbar.

The 160×120 pixel LCD screen allows for simplified setup, continuous situation monitoring and improved guidance in curves and during end-of-row turns.

The EZ-Guide Plus lightbar uses differential GPS (global positioning system) information to display how far to the left or right an operator might be from the desired path. Depending on the operator's equipment needs, the lightbar is available with or without an integrated, 12-channel GPS receiver that utilizes the free WAAS differential correction.

Three integrated buttons provide a simple interface for all configurations and operations. An optional six-button keypad improves convenience and ease of operation, and includes an audible warning alarm to alert operators when they drift from the swath, cross the headland or the DGPS correction signal is lost.
