The future of precision farming will be shaped by more GPS constellations, signals and applications, according to NovAtel's Doug Schmuland, agriculture product segment manager. In this decade, every new piece of self-propelled farm equipment in the world will have embedded GPS receivers on it. Schmuland presented a lecture at the 2011 Agricultural Machinery Conference held in Waterloo, IA. He was interviewed by Farm Industry News senior editor Jodie Wehrspann.
