Covering a total exhibition area of 55 hectares (135 acres) the DLG-Feldtage took center stage in a gathering of 350 companies involved in crop production. It’s the largest outdoor farm field day in Germany, and this year Farm Industry News was once again on hand.

While wet weather at the 2016 edition, held near Hassfurt, Germany, in the German state of Bavaria, may have kept some producers away, those that braved the conditions were treated to an extensive showcase of agricultural cropping technologies.

The DLG (German Agricultural Society) organizes the event, which is held every other year in locations throughout the country. You’ll find much of what you’d expect at a farm show: machinery on display, crop protection companies, seed companies, suppliers…you name it. And while this year’s show exhibitor list was heavily weighted to the German market, 17 other countries, including the USA, were in attendance.
