Improved Tillage Tool

The rear shanks on the newest M&W Earthmaster, Gibson City, IL, dig deep to lift and shatter compaction, improving drainage and root growth. Its tandem disc cuts and mixes crop residue up to 8" deep. Disc gang angles can also be adjusted from 3° to 18° for greater residue incorporation. Shanks can be spaced at 20", 24" or 30" rows on the 8 × 14½" ripper mainframes.

Seed Monitor

A new monitor designed for producers with large seeders or specialty equipment comes from Agri Motive Products, Inc., Warren, IN.

The VM-2500SE monitors up to 96 rows with RS-4485 serial bus technology. For use with planters, drills or airseeders, it offers multiple fan, shaft, hopper level, pressure and ground speed units.

Large-Capacity Sprayer

The SPX3200 sprayer from Case IH features a 1,000-gallon tank — 25% larger than the previous model. It also boasts of a longer wheelbase and stronger front-disc brakes. Powered by a Case IH 5.9-liter, 6-cylinder turbocharged engine rated at 200 hp of peak torque, its road speed is 30 mph. It's available with either 80' or 90' self-centering booms.

Options include the AIM Command spray system, which controls droplet size, as well as the AIM Navigation System IV.

Strip-Till Equipment

Redball LLC, Benson, MN, introduces a strip-till equipment line, including customizable row units, toolbars up to 44' wide and an air fertilizer cart with 6- or 8-ton capacities.

Strip-till row units are configured with 22" coulters in front to slice through field residue and reduce plugging potential. They are followed by a row cleaner, a tillage/fertilizer knife and two independently floating 18" berm-building disks. Row units are 20¾-24¼" wide, 54" long.
