Disk Harrows

Two new disk harrows from Case-IH, Racine, WI, provide superior residue management and a consistent, level field finish. Model RMX340 manages light to medium-heavy residue. RMX370 is an all-purpose unit that creates a level working surface in high crop-production environments and dryland conditions.

Both use the shallow concavity Earth Metal blades mounted at 18° angles. Twenty-inch blades are set at 7.5" spacings for the RMX340; for heavier residue, 22" blades with 9" spacings can be used. For the RMX370, 24" blades are set with 9" spacings.

Seedbed Conditioners

Great Plains Manufacturing, Salina, KS, introduces a new line of seedbed conditioners for use behind a field cultivator or finisher. Designed to create a one-pass seedbed that places fine particles of soil in the plant zone, models range in size from 12'6" to 35'. They offer adjustable reel sections to match the width of the host machine.

The line also offers up to 150 lbs/foot of down pressure for increased clod and root ball breakage.

Small-Field Pivot

Lindsay Manufacturing, Lindsay, NE, expands its Greenfield line of small-field irrigation equipment by introducing the Greenfield 4 Mini-Pivot. Designed specifically for fields up to 60 acres in size, the pivot can be customized for specific applications through various span-length, overhand and end-gun options.

Easy to install, it can operate on slopes up to 15% using a bowstring truss design. Standard models use 24-volt control circuits and high-efficiency, ⅛-hp, 90-volt DC motors.

Strip-Till Caddy

A caddy unit designed to couple the 1-tRIPr strip-till system with a three-point mounted planter creates a mobile, pull-type seeding system. From Orthman, Lexington, NE, the 1-tRIPr Combo Caddy accommodates multiple fertilizer tanks. That enables an operator to prepare a seedbed, incorporate multiple chemicals at specific depths and plant all in one pass.
