New FMC application tech in-depth

FMC has launched a new in-furrow insecticide technology that is available to growers this year called 3rive 3D (3rive is pronounced "thrive"). Farm Industry News caught up with FMC at National Farm Machinery Show to get an in-depth look at the system. In the first half of this video, Matt Hancock, corn segment manager for FMC, gives an overview of 3rive 3D, along with the new products coming in the future that will be compatible with the system. And in the second half, Heath McCormick, sales manager for Emerge Application Systems, gets into the nitty-gritty of the machinery side of 3rive 3D. FMC partnered with Emerge to produce the equipment portion of the system.

The system allows you to load product once and be in the field for about 480 acres before you have to refill again. FMC has taken the active ingredient in Capture LFR and is introducing a new formulation for 2015 called Capture 3rive 3D to work with the system. The formulation is designed to be put through the innovative applicator in the furrow.

Cost for a 12-row system is $18,000; 16-row is $19,000; and a 24-row is $22,000. Read the full article with more details here. Or visit for more information.
