8792 and 8776

AGCO Corporation expands its 8700 series of White stack-fold planters for 2010 by adding two new models: the 12-row wide 8792 and the 16-row narrow 8776. “Previously we had an eight-row wide and a 12-row narrow,” says Gary Hamilton, senior marketing specialist with AGCO. “So we are just rounding out the line.”

The 12-row wide 8792 addresses the needs of the western Corn Belt where growers flood irrigate in wide rows. It also addresses some of the needs in the Delta for small grains.

Hamilton says the bigger demand is for the 16-row narrow, fully mounted model 8776, designed for the Corn Belt, Delta and Texas.

Both planters are 3-pt.-hitch, mounted stacker toolbar planters. A folding mechanism hydraulically lifts the outer wings over the center section, keeping the chemical and seed hoppers upright for transport.

Suggested base list price: $59,423 for model 8792, 12-row wide; $64,073 for model 8776, 16-row narrow. For more information, visit or, or circle 106.
